ABOUT

Offering speciality Craft Beers since 2015

Dowr Kammel Brewing Company was established in 2015 by ourselves Simon & Justine Carruthers.  Dowr Kammel meaning Crooked River is the River Camel's name in the Cornish language.

Our aim is to produce our own range of Cornish made beers using as many Cornish ingredients as possible including our own hops grown here at the brewery.   The brewery is situated overlooking the River Camel near Wenford Bridge at the head of the famous Camel Trail. A public footpath runs up from the trail through our hop yard to the brewery.

We have successfully grown our own hops that we use in every beer we produce and also use our own Cornish spring water that has trickled through the ancient rocks of Bodmin moor.

Trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible we brew on sunny days, harnessing the sun's power from our solar panels and store our beers underground  in the summer months in our man made beer cave.

Our range of beers go from Light Golden ales to Dark Porters. IPAs, Lagers and even Belgian Triples to mention just a few.

Experimenting is crucial to us at the brewery and we are producing new, unique and exciting flavours in our stunning surroundings in Cornwall.
